PERMANENT MAKEUP & MICROBLADING

Semi Permanent MakeUp and Microblading is a tattooing technique, also known as derma-pigmentation, derma-graphics, micro-pigmentation and makeup or cosmetic tattooing. All of these terms describe the revolutionary art form of implanting natural pigment into your skin with the machine or manual tool. Pigments are specially created for shallow procedure and can be biologically assimilated by the organism over time. The use of absorbable pigments gives possibility of changing the tattoo design over time, adapt it to the changing morphology and shape of a face as time goes by. It is a multi-session procedure, in most of the cases at least 2 applications are needed to achieve desired result. Lasts more or less a year for microblading and from about 1-2 years for permanent makeup, depending on area, method, color, type of the skin, individual body chemistry, and lifestyle.

Risk and Complications

PMU is not a science, NDS can’t guarantee the end effect of the procedure. The reason is due to a fact that there are so many variables related to the client like…

  • following after care instructions,
  • sun exposure, tanning bed,
  • medications, medical conditions, overall health,
  • skin care products, skin care daily routine,
  • scar tissue, previous procedures,
  • client’s lifestyle,
  • other factors… implanted pigment can turn color or fade over time due to beyond the control of NDS.

Risk and possibility of complications exist during and following the procedure. Infections, outbreaks, misplaced pigment, migrating pigment, uneven pigmentation, poor color retention, quick fading, pigment rejection, color change, scarring or fiver blister are a few of the possible complications.

You will need to maintain the color with future applications, so yearly top ups will be needed to keep the effect for longer. If you decide to change the color or shape after the initial application or in the future, it may need additional session(s) to achieve the desired result and depth of color.

Clients with previous permanent makeup performed by another technician will be charged the full price regardless of the procedure.

PROCEDURE DAY

Treatment starts from slight consultation and face preparation (try to come for your appointment without makeup if possible, you can take your makeup tools). Once we will design and agree with new makeup shape, numbing cream is applied for about 20-30 mins (for eyelid and lip area). Times of the procedure depends from the treated area and method. Generally procedure time takes from 1-2 hours.

Certain amount of discomfort is associated with this procedure for the first few moments and that minor or temporary swelling, redness, bruising and tenderness may be experienced. Pain is an individual matter, some feel stronger and others do not feel anything. In any case, it is never unbearable pain.

You are given exclusive time for your quality service, If you must cancel or reschedule please do so at least 72 hours in advance.

AFTER PROCEDURE

  • refrain from the use of aspirin-containing medications (Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, Coumadinor) and drinking alcohol within the 48 hours before your procedure
  • thinning of the blood promoting medications for 7 days before and 2 days after any procedure
  • coffee / tea constitutes a blood-thinner so please refrain from drinking coffee / tea on the day of the procedure.

Immediate after the treatment slight redness and swelling may occur but normal activities may be resumed immediately after your procedure (for liner and lip area swelling is noticeable and normal so better not schedule any social plans for the rest of the day).

You will get the after care cream (Bephanten in case if cream will be lost of finished) and after care instructions for home, also we will show you exactly how to clean treated area after procedure.

Refrain of the overuse of alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen or coumadin few days after procedure. Avoid sun exposure, swimming pool and steam rooms, hot tubs, gym for about 2 weeks after the procedure. Do not use makeup on the treated area for 2 weeks! Under the shower, try to keep the brows dry, put the head back when you are washing your hair so water will go on he back rather than on your face. For the night or under the shower time you can use the special ’’after care plasters’’ (about 7-10 days later – all is getting back to normal).

Keep the area clean, you can change the pillow cases to prevent infections.

Day 1-3 Be prepared for color intensity, area to be larger, sharper, brighter and darker then what is expected for the final outcome. Tattoo will begin to feel dry and chapped. This is normal and to be expected. Keep it clean with daily (morning and evening time, when you have normal face cleansing routine) cotton pad – clean them back and forth with wet cotton pad, then dry them and apply small (rice grain amount) after cream from therapist every morning and evening, twice a day for another 10 days!

Day 4-7 Treated area will gets lighter from 30-50% depends from the skin type. If cleaned properly – treated area should not scab or peel at all (if it does peel and scabbing please do not rub, pick, take off the scab yourself as that may couse the scarring and pigment loss). For liner and lips you may notice some flaking as the dead skin cell begin to slough off. Keep the area clean (if scabs are there then tap area with wet cotton pad instead of swiping), dry it and apply cream.

Day 7-10 Most of the color will have faded by now… but, you have probably adjusted to having a bit more intense color then before procedure. So once things fade and even if it looks to be totally gone, the color can actually return in time (new skin layer is created and pigment needs more time to get trough that new skin layer and be visible, adjustments cannot be made until healed in 4-6 weeks). Exact color and tone desired, not always remain a perfect match. Use sun blocker for the brows to keep them for longer!

Healing proces takes about a month. It is normal to experience itching, swelling, blistering, scabbing, light bruising, dry tightness. It is usual to expect a top up after the healing is completed. Top up should be scheduled about 6-8 weeks after 1st procedure. Two or three applications may be required to achieve the desired results. Top up after a year time is recommended to keep the effect fresh and beautiful.

POSSIBLE PROCEDURES

BROWS

brwiwszystkieblog

Eyebrows are the frame of the face and when designed and made correctly they can add symmetry and definition to create a more youthful and sophIsticated appearance. But please remember brows are sisters not twins, there will always be a bit of the difference between them (brow muscles are working with the different straight so the brow movement has influence in the outcome look).

Depending on the individual needs of the customers,  to create the most natural and realistic brow effect we use one of few techniques….

REALISTIC BROWS (manual method) – hair to hair strokes simulation that mimics your own hair flow – not a substitute of make-up, procedure will give us fuller – but bare, naked brow look with the great shape. Most realistic effect possible.

OMBRE BROWS (manual or machine) – shading with soft texture that gives much fuller and darker brow look with new shape. Substitute of makeup, procedure gives obvious but very soft, makeup effect.

COMBO (manual and machine) – adjusted to the clients needs hair to hair strokes simulation and shading between the strokes. Procedure can give you much fuller and darker brow look with the great shape. Gentle substitute of make-up, but still natural effect.

LINER

permeyelinerwebsite

Eyeliner can open up the eyes, strengthen the color of the iris, make eyes appear larger and more beautiful. Liner can be applied on the top and bottom lashes. Liner situated through out the lashes make them look fuller, darker and thicker, or can be placed in between and above the lashes to give you total make up effect. Thickness of the liner depends from your preferations.

NATURAL LINER (machine) – eyelash enhancement, line between the lashes to gives darker and fuller look of lashes also makes eye more visible in most realistic possible look. No flick in the end, liner is finishing with the eye corner.

LATINO LINER (machine) – lash and eye enhancement, tick, big liner with the visible flick in the end of the eye corner, new eye shape and bigger eye size. Substitute of makeup effect.

SMOKEY EYE LINER (manual and/or machine) – adjusted to the client preferences. Soft, blurry thin line close to the lash line with a very tiny flick in the end of the eye corner, with a bit of shading. Still natural, smugge-pencil like effect with a blurry shadow on the almond shape.

LIPS

unknown

Permanent Makeup is an excellent way of enhancing the shape and color of your lips. Great for correcting asymmetrical (cleft lip can be easily corrected) and faded lip borders, can make the lips appear larger and fuller and prevent the lipstick from bleeding. The lip liner can also be done with color lightly shaded into the lip for a more natural look or can be done with the full lip shading, where you will get the optical illusion of fuller looking lips (3D lips effect) without temporary injections.

NATURAL LIPS (manual or machine) – new pastel or candy color on the full lips area without the outline contour, so the shape is very blurry and soft and natural but the color is updated.

FULL LIPS (manual or machine) –  new lip shape and new full lips color, strong color, strong lip-line contour. Sharp, full lipstick, makeup effect.

OMBRE LIPS (manual or machine) –  3/4 lip color with the outline contour done but in very gentle way. Color intensity is going down from external to inner corner of the lips…or adjusted to the client needs.

MEDICAL AREOLA TATTOOING

Areola pigmentation also called Areola Tattooing, Areola Micro-pigmentation, Areola Pigmentation, Areola Recoloring, Areola Restoration, or Areola Simulation.

It is a medical tattooing that requires advanced education, training, and experience. Areola – a circular area of skin around the nipple that is often darker and thicker than the surrounding skin. The areola plays a key role in the aesthetic look of a breast.

Some breast surgeries like Breast Augmentation or Enlargement (Augmentation Mammoplasty); Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammoplasty); Breast Lift (Mastopexy); and Male Breast Reduction (Gynecomastia) can create a scar if they require an incision at or around the edge of the areola that may need to be camouflaged.

These procedures help improve the appearance and self esteem of both women and men who have undergone breast surgery. Areola pigmentation techniques can “create” an areola after breast reconstruction, minimize the appearance of scars, or restore an areola to a more natural looking color and shape. Patients feel the tattooing process helps them during the last part of their recovery to look complete and feel “whole” again.

MEDICAL SCAR CAMUFLAGE

With scar camouflage, pigments are individually blended and introduced to the skin to match the surrounding areas.  This treatment can be very effective as it takes away the ‘bright, white’ look of a healed scar and the shiny appearance.

Scar tissue can be unpredictable when retaining pigment, so clients should be prepared to have several procedures to reach the desired result. This type of treatments has a much more longer lasting effect than the use of camouflage creams, that may only last for a few days. Procedure is very effective in treating Vitiligo of the scalp etc, Vitiligo has to have been stable and non-progressive for 2 years before any treatment should be carried out.

Scar camouflage can be performed when your physician approves it. Scar camouflage can usually be performed as soon as 6 months after surgery, but you should first ask your physician.

Then consultation is required (scheduled as an individual appointment about 6 weeks before procedure date) to recommend a treatment plan that will provide optimum results and perform patch test (spot color test).

Keep in mind that area will probably need more than one tattooing session to achieve the best looking result.

After Your Procedure
You will need to follow specific steps for one-two weeks after each tattooing session. We will give you an after care detailed instructions with healing cream. Although you will not need to take time off from work, you should keep your recovery period and after care in mind when scheduling your procedure appointments around work, social, or travel plans. In most of the cases re-touching third session is needed to be done after 4-6 weeks from the last appointment, then review 6 months later to establish the recommended maintenance plan.

MEDICAL SCALP PIGMENTATION

boston-scalp-micropigmentation

Tricopigmentation procedure known as Scalp-Micro-Pigmentation is one of the best solution for alopecia, the natural loss of hair, thinning hair, male pattern baldness. It is non invasive procedure that can add extra coverage after a hair transplant, makes life easier if you like the ”shaved look” or gives scar camouflage…Kind of medical tattooing that requires advanced education, training, and experience.

Most of the scalp treatments are conducted in two days (one session each day) with a re-touching third session to be done after 4-6 weeks. And a review 6 months later to establish the recommended maintenance plan. On the first day of treatment, the hairline design will be decided with the approval of the client. Once the design has been decided, the pigment will begin to be implanted. Depending on the number of areas that need to be treated the session can take anywhere in between 2 – 5 hours. On the second day of treatment the technician will follow a different procedure depending on whether we are looking to have a shaved look, more densification or camouflage a scar. The second session will usually take a little less time. About 45 days after the last session, a consultation visit will be made so that the technician can examine the results and touch up any areas necessary.

Following pre and post care instructions is vital to obtain best results

Care before treatment

Dry Skin – If you have dry skin on your scalp please use almond oil 2 to 3 times daily for a few weeks before the treatment. If your skin is really dry and flakey red, itchy with large flaky scales then you may have a form of Seborrhoea Dermatitis, this is a fairly common skin disorder that looks similar to psoriasis, eczema, dandruff or an allergic reaction, in infants it is called cradle cap. It is a chronic, relapsing and usually mild dermatitis, please consult a dermatoligist or an alternative medical skin specialist to have this treated prior to scalp micro-pigmentation.
